This comes in both the 1 pound and 4 pound sizes in a re-sealable plastic bag. The flour is very fresh, finely ground and smells very much like coconut. I tried this as a breading for my fish as opposed to regular flour and it worked pretty well for that, although I can see for baking it might be a little more difficult to work with. Taste wise, the flour was a bit more subtle and less sweet in coconut flavor than I would have liked it have been but that could be because I have always used the sweetened coconut flakes for my fish recipe and expected it to be like that. Still it tastes pretty good and is a good substitute for other flours or for recipes you want to add a bit of sweetness without sugar. 4 stars I was provided samples for review and I do not promise a good rating in return, nor am I affiliated with this company or compensated in any way. It also adds a subtle coconut flavor, making it a good choice for baked goods and breading shrimp. It absorbs a lot more fluid that wheat flour, so recipes specific for coconut flour should be used, although I have had good success adding some to my usual scone recipe for added fiber and a nice flavor that is complemented by raisins. My family does not care for wheat flour when I use it in biscuits, pizza and cookies. This coconut flour adds fiber and protein to my baking as well as a great taste. I usually use half white flour and half coconut flour in my recipes. I like that the bag is resealable and stores standing up in my pantry. When you use this flour you do have to add more water to your recipes due to the fiber in it. I made some lime scones with this flour and they had a slight coconut taste to them.This flour is also great for gluten-free cooking but I have not made any of those recipes yet. I put a tablespoon of this coconut flour in my morning smoothie for added fiber and protein and it tastes great. I made breakfast cookies with this flour and they came out yummy.
